The four Simon siblings
The four Simon siblings (clockwise from upper left) Louis, Sylvia, Abe and John, all served in the military during WWII. Louis Simon was Sergeant in the Army and participated in the Battle of the Bulge in 1944. Sylvia Bruno née Simon joined the newly created Women’s Army Air Corps (WAC) in order to bring her three brothers home safely. She was a Sergeant Sec. D and was stationed in Texas. Abe Simon was a Navy Radioman who was in the first wave on Omaha Beach in Normandy on D-Day. John Simon was in the 435th Fighter Squadron. He was involved in the air offensive in the Ardennes and Normandy and received the American Services Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Service Medal. – Shared by Ronald Simon
